Type 1: Defensive wars

Type 2: Offensive wars

DEFCON 4
Type A: Lightning War Type I (Type 1 and 2)
This type of Lightning War is the lightest and quickest. The Imperial Army deploys without staging areas or base camps, and moves through enemy territory at high speed, launching constant attacks on their armies and positions. In space combat: quick, light attack runs on enemy ships.

Type B: Landslide War (Type 1 and 2)
The Landslide War is a lengthy but effective strategy, that consists of forming a thick line across the entire planet, that slowly advances into enemy territory destroying all resistence in it's way. In space combat: Large, lengthy, close range fleet battles when attacking, powerful defensive formations when defending.

Type C: Open War (Type 1 and 2)
Open War is the last kind of war before firing on civilians. The military uses strategic bombing, large offensive battles and heavily fortified base camps to destroy enemy forces army groups at a time. In space combat: Heavy long range battles, with Starfleet constantly on the offensive.

Type D: War of Attrition (Type 1 and 2)

Type E: Lightning War Type II (Type 2)

Type F: War of Destruction (Type 2)

DEFCON 2
Type G: Total War (Type 1 and 2)

Type H: War of Extermination (Type 2)

Type Y: Terror War (Type 2)

DEFCON 1
Type X: Total Annihilation (Type 2, Type 1 as last resort)
